Before Ming Dynasty - A BRONZE RITUAL WINE VESSEL, GU, SHANG DYNASTY, EARLY ANYANG, 1300-1200BC
 
 

Of slender proportions, the neck cast with four scroll-filled blades rising from a band of ‘eye’ and scroll motifs, the mid-section and the spreading foot with taotie masks divided and separated by notched flanges, with mottled milky-green patina and traces of cinnabar.
